si gjithmone - as always

I've been searching and as I was searching for a nice receipt for one of the most famous albanian sweets, such as ballokume
- which is like super delicious, it has the form of an ordinary cookie but it is made with cornmeal and lots of suger, eggs, milk (not that much of an amount) and as said it tastes really good!

and this one goes with a nice and sweet tradition! in one of the bigger cities in albania which is Elbasan you celebrate "the day of summer" - 14th march. it has been now almost 2 months since they celebrated it but you know, i kinda like my sweets everytime i desire for them :P

a nice receipt for that u can find here (which apparently is only in albanian, so guys, go for it and learn our language :D u never know, being able to speak a foreign language and this one is like really exotic can give u some useful advantages ... maybe)

joke aside, here is an english receipt for you guys :) - nevertheless, try it, it is quite simple and the taste is freaking awesome!

what was i gonna say? ah, for my german fellas out there - here is a german blog where you can somewhat understand our culture and try learning our language! i like it a lot, they even give for albanians out there some useful information.

i actually wanted to share a wonderful picture with you to show off with my roots, you know ;) we have a beautiful country with a wonderful landscape.
that's it for today :)

Mirsevini - Welcome

i kinda recognized that people are blogging about every freaking thing or vlogging about this and that and get so popular with it, it goes so far that u can make a living with it - which is like super crazy in my opinion, but hey, why not try it.

so, what i was concerned about was the fact that (i don't mean to offend anyone or any ethnics with this) albanians seem to dislike blogging/vlogging which i cannot understand. you see, people out there become famous and get paid for posting random sh*t. and i mean, i really do like asian people and their videos are hilarious and i laugh my ass off when i watch them, like, nigahiga, kevjumba, wongfu productions, etc etc - but why is it that albanians do not seem to have the spirit and encouragement to be posting and uploading blog posts and videos, too ?

i was randomly searching for: (in youtube) "albanian american vloggers" and what did i find??
this joke or whatever it is supposed to be - i mean, srsly?? are we like so ultra dumb or even not developed enough to be counted as some balkan-stayed-behind-civilazation?

this is freaking me out, we have so many individuals we can be proud of but we still have such an awful image to everyone, so much that they even make jokes about us as if we were some dumb shepherds in the mountains living our simple life with lots of raki and a big weapon. this is stupid!!

another brillant example, when you (are as bored as i am sometimes) type in the searching box of youtube "you know you're albanian when..." and you find some ridiculously annoying but sadly somewhat true facts about us... AGAIN not everyone of us owns weapons, drinks the whole day strong alcohol and threatens you for every little mistake you made, this is so exaggerated, i can't even decide whether to cry or laugh about it..

but then again, there finally are some albanians who really make good youtube stuff!
one song in particular - i love it. the refrain is catchy, the lyrics are somewhat sentimental for all albanians in the diaspora and the people are refreshing :) another one which i recently found, cuz i didn't want to give up :D so here it is - really funny. but still, we aren't that dangerous and super bad-tempered like we are commonly described ... but, well, every clichee has a little truth in it, so don't try to mess with them :P
